Thanks to incredible community support, the Cooper Hill playground project was a resounding success. In 2023, a small but mighty group of parents and volunteers raised $50,000 through local fundraising and grant support, replacing aging wooden structures that had served the park for more than 20 years. The new playground, installed in June, created a safe, modern space for children to explore and grow in Bayfield. That same community-driven effort proved what’s possible—and now offers a model for bringing updated play equipment to East Dock Park.
